Hanging multiple pieces around a room is not always easy. I use this tip from @betterhomesandgardens. When hanging multiple pieces around the room, rather than making the bottoms or tops of frames level, level the middles.

I enjoy artwork in the kitchen. Be sure to hang art in a place where it won't get damaged by water or heat. The best places for art is above an office space, near the dining table, or above open counter space, remembering to keep things at eye level.

It is very common for people to hang art too high. The center of the image should be at your eye level. But in areas like your living room, where people tend to be sitting, your photos or art should be hung lower. A good way to be sure you're placing artwork at the right height is to hang it one hand width above the sofa.

Here is SoCal, many of us have small homes and fireplaces that are probably painted white. Above a mantel or fireplace is the perfect place for your new family photos, but also to layer pieces. A house looks and feels more home-y when you can see layers of artwork and accessories.

Now that the hustle of the holidays is over, and the holiday decor has been put away, it's time to think about how you're going to display those beautiful family photos you had taken.
Hanging photos or wall art of any kind, can be frustrating. Here is a quick easy way to hang your art without destroying you walls.
Trace and cut each piece or photo on kraft paper (I have also used newspaper) If you're hanging portraits, draw arrows on the paper to indicate which way the subject is looking. Use painter's tape to try out placements and arrangements without covering your wall with holes.
Next mark the on each piece of paper, where the hangers are on the back of your frames.
Use these marks and hammer in your nails directly over the paper.
Remove the paper and hang your photos.

Taking down the tree? Here are a few tips to get it out the door with less mess.
Try this pro trick --Take a big garbage bag and put it around the top of the Christmas tree, then tie the bottom of the bag around the base. This will catch the pine needles when you flip over the tree and start heading towards the door.
No bag? Use an old sheet to contain needles. First, place the sheet on the ground next to the tree. Remove any remaining water out of the tree stand with a turkey baster. Next, flip the entire tree, stand and all, sideways onto the sheet (trying to wrangle the tree out of the stand first will send needles flying). Once the tree is on the floor, tightly wrap the sheet around it, remove the stand, and carry it outside.
Keep in mind that here in San Diego, you can cut your tree to fit in your curbside collection (green) bit on your Clean Green recycling days. If you use your own containers for yard waste, you can leave your tree curbside for pick up on your regular Clean Green Recycle days. If your tree is taller than 4 feet, you will need to cut it in half.
